Friday Night Fun League Local Rules - (Hole numbers are the new hole numbers)
Unplayable Lie:
If you have to move a ball in order to make a shot, you may move the ball a club length, no closer to hole. One stroke penalty
If the ball lands in a bad lie (divot or a dirt area) in your Fairway, the ball may be rolled over with the head of the club. In case of wet conditions, the ball can be lifted, cleaned and replaced. No penalty.
A ball in a sand trap cannot be moved.
Hit the wrong ball:
Replace as near as possible - no penalty.
Lost ball:
Drop as near as possible to where it was lost. One stroke penalty.
Ball out of bounds:
No provisional needed. Take a drop within 3 club lengths of where it went OB but no closer to the hole. One stroke penalty.
Holes #1 and #9:
Ball hits into drainage bed even if not found. Drop behind the drainage in a dry area. No penalty.
Hole #2:
If your tee shot lands in water, down the hill or in woods, the ball is OB. Take a 1 stroke penalty and use the island drop zone. This is for both player safety and speed of play.
If the ball lands on rocks or the edge of a barrier on the island, move to the closest point of relief, no penalty. If the player decides to place the ball on the upper level of the island, in the rough, add a penalty stroke.
Hole #3:
If a Tee shot, from the silver or white tee, lands in the pond, drop a ball on the far side of the pond. One stroke penalty, hitting the third shot.
Hole #4:
If the ball lands in the water area, drop in the appropriate spot: either in the drop zone by the pond or behind the brook, i.e. right side of the cart path. In both cases you are placing your ball behind the water hazard, onto a dry area. One stroke penalty.
[Hole #5:
Please check that there is no one at the bottom of the hill before teeing off.
If the ball is hit into the lateral water hazard, play from the drop zone area. One penalty stroke.
Maximum strokes per hole will be announced at the pre-tournament meeting, except hole #7 which has a 9 strokes maximum.
